Hospedia Digital Platform helps deliver digital transformation at the point of care, supporting frontline staff, engaging patients. It lets hospitals and Trusts get their data, applications and content where it’s needed, increasing visibility, effectiveness and safety.

What is it?

It’s a platform for innovation and it helps you accelerate digital transformation without the need for large-scale programmes or implementations.
It builds on Hospedia’s network (cabled and WiFi) and bedside units. It makes information, applications and content available where they’re needed – at the bedside, on the ward, in the co-ordination centre and in the planning meeting.

Hospedia Digital Platform is an overlay to existing systems (like PAS and EPR) that is flexible and interoperable. It can be deployed quickly and rolled out over time to supporting your digital transformation initiatives. The solution suite model gives hospitals an achievable route to ‘the digital hospital’ with applications for frontline staff, patients and providers.

What does it do?

The platform and integrated solutions improve efficiency and accuracy, supporting those involved in managing and delivering care. Frontline staff can capture patient data (vital signs, for example) digitally, right at the bedside. No more re-keying or making notes on paper, digital recording means that staff don’t have to manually calculate NEWS score (for example).

Frontline staff are also supported at the point of care with proactive monitoring, alerted to any significant change in patients’ status. Clinical safety is further improved with better communication and collaboration, adding workflows to enhance escalation pathways and process improvements.

Networks and devices

Hospedia Digital Platform uses wired ethernet and WiFi to deliver an integrated solution platform. This offers a quick and costeffective deployment. WiFi can also be used for deployment where wired infrastructure is unavailable or impractical.

The platform and its applications can be accessed through a wide range of devices including PCs, eWhiteboards, tablets and more. One of the areas of most significant potential is to use Hospedia Bedside Units to access clinical solutions and patient engagement applications and content.

The Hospedia bedside unit has been designed specifically to provide the most appropriate user experience for frontline staff and patients. Based on robust technology, it will integrate seamlessly with Hospedia and hospital infrastructure.
